This weeks Female Throwback Jam, comes to us from 90s R&B Soul singer Des'ree. Her motivational hit single "You Gotta Be," eventually reached number 5 with it's re-release on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995. Different versions of the song were released, and it peaked at number 16 in 1994.

Wow. All I can say is that this was a good song. Weird video though and she had some nappy hair lol!
