Would a Rihanna-Lupe Fiasco Collabo. Work? / Possible Remix Album

So I was thinking after I saw Lupe Fiasco enjoying T.I. & Rihanna's performance of "Live Your Life," at the 2008 MTV VMAs that Lupe Fiasco and Rihanna could make a hot record together. I don't know it's just a thought but with both of their sounds, I think it could easily be done.

In other Rihanna news, it has been said [thatgrapejuice.net] that Rihanna plans on releasing Good Girl Gone Bad, as a remix album. That would technically be the 3rd version of the CD that initially came out in June of 2007. Way to milk it Rihanna or Rihanna's people (Label)! Though I think the better way would be to go by releasing a regular remix album, not just a GGGB remix album.

My proposed track listing would look something like this:(She could include remixes to songs like)
1) "Pon De Replay"
2) "S.O.S. (Rescue Me)"
3) "Umbrella" [Anything without Jay-Z]
4) "Take A Bow"
5) "Disturbia"
6) "Live Your Life" [an all Rihanna version-haters would love this]
7) "If It's Lovin' That You Want"
8) "We Ride"
9) "Break It Off" [an all Rihanna version]
10) "Rehab"
11) "Good Girl Gone Bad"
12) "Push Up On Me" [featuring T.I. (would be good)]
13) "Sell Me Candy" [featuring Timbaland-(tracks producer)]
14) "Shut Up & Drive" [R&B Remix]
15) "xxxxxxx" -A new track, who knows Chris Brown duet
16) "xxxxxxx" -A duet with Shontelle

WHAT DO YOU THINK of a Rihanna & Lupe Fiasco collabo? And also about a GGGB Remix album? LEAVE COMMENTS below!

Seven Pounds -Another Good Movie for Smith

So I saw Will Smith's newest movie, Seven Pounds, and I must say it turned out to be a great movie. It was really nice to see Will Smith play a serious role in a movie like this, without it being Sci-Psy related [Men In Black, I-Robot, I Am Legend...the list goes on!]. I actually also liked this movie better than The Pursuit Of Happyness. And yes I do know that was based on a true story. That movie was just kind of what you'd expect to happen, did happen.

My advice for this movie, is to not judge the movie by it's title. And also not try guessing what it is for/about by it. You will find out by the end of the movie, well sort of what the title signifies. Well I actually had to Wikipedia it, after seeing it because I didn't fully understand why. But I suppose it does make sense.

In conclusion, I would recommend people to see this movie, but maybe not on Christmas day, because it does have some sad parts in it. But if you want to see a well performed movie with an interesting story line, Seven Pounds is a movie that can fulfil that need of yours.

[Side Note]
Oh, and as a side note, I saw a preview of the movie on TV where they played Ashanti's song, "Shine," near the end. Though it isn't in the movie, they really could have used it where they had the children singing in the choir (since in the album version of the song, there is a section of children singing).

4 Artists Amaze 2 songs in the Hot 100's Top 10

So this week something pretty amazing has happened in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. 4 artists each have two songs in the Top 10, and luckily none of the artist include T-Pain. Beyonce gains her number 1 spot back from T.I. with "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)." And her second showing in the Top 10 is at number 9 with "If I Were A Boy," which has peaked at number 3 so far.

T.I. falls from the top spot to number 2 with "Live Your Life," featuring Rihanna. With the impressive feat, still managing two Top 5 singles at the same time with "Whatever You Like," currently at number 5; and became his first lead artist number 1.

Next up Britney Spears continues to ride off the success of her first Top 10 debut (number 3) with "Circus," remaining in the Top 5 this week at number 4. Her second number 1 Hot 100 single, "Womanizer," rises up the charts from last weeks number 10, to this weeks number 6; In it's 11th week of charting.

Last to conquer this collective feat is Kanye West whose "Heartless," sits at number 7 this week, and "Love Lockdown," at number 10. "Heartless," has peaked at number 4, while "Love Lockdown," has peaked at it's debut position number 3.

Filling in the voids, in this weeks ironic 2-showings per artist Top 10, is Lady GaGa's "Just Dance," [featuring Colby O'Donis] at number 3; And Katy Perry's second Top 5 single, "Hot N Cold" at number 8 this week. Rihanna and Colby O'Donis are the only features on tracks this week in the Top 10 of The Billboard Hot 100 as well.

The Winning 'Circus'

So as Britney Spears continues to gain back prominence, her 6th studio album, Circus, became her 5th album to debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200 by selling over 500,000 copies. Along with the albums success as a whole, the second single and title track “Circus,” became Spears first song to debut in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at number 3. Since the song has just been released to radio (December 9th, 2008) and been the number 1 song on iTunes Top Songs, for over a week straight, it’s looking good for Spears receiving her 3rd number 1 Hot 100 single; and first pair from a single album (since “Womanizer” hit number 1 back in October 2008). Keep up the good work Ms. Spears!

Female Throwback Jam: “Bring It All To Me" 12.11.08

Back in the 90's a Destiny's Child wasn't the only girl group to be a part of the girl group era. This week’s Female Throwback Jam comes to us from Blaque. Blaque was essentially a younger version of TLC, as Left Eye of TLC formed the group and acted as their mentor. “Bring It All To Me,” became their best charting single in the U.S. to date (charting at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100). The album version of “Bring It All To Me,” featured JC Chasez of N*Sync, though the video version only featured the girls of Blaque. In the futuristic video, Shamari, Brandi, & Natina as hologram-like people who could teleport to various places talking to men. A great song, from a great group, who is currently said to be back together and releasing an album in 2009, currently entitled, Private Show.

Male Throwback Jam: “If I Ruled The World (Imagine That)” 12.11.08

This week our Male Throwback Jam of the week comes to us from NaS. "If I Ruled The World (Imagine That)," features guest vocals by 90's singer Laurny Hill as well. The song spoke out on many controversial issues and thoughts that Nas questions throughout the song. It was released in 1996 as the lead single of his number 1 Billboard 200 album It Was Written. The song help to start the ear of Hip Hop & R&B collaborations while reaching number 53 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video features Nas and Lauryn Hill various acted out scenes which help tell the songs story as well as the two driving around in New York City at night.

Welcoming All Fans of Music to Britney’s Circus | Britney Spears -Circus [Album Review]

After finally winning her first MTV VMA’s for Blackout’s second single “Piece Of Me,” in September, things were finally looking better for Ms. Britney Spears. Following her triumphant three time win, her lead single, “Womanizer,” from her sixth studio album Circus kept people wanting more.

“Womanizer” officially brought Spears back into superstardom becoming her second Billboard Hot 100 number 1 single since her debut single, “…Baby One More Time,” hit number 1 in 1999. While also making the largest jump to number 1 (96-1) on the charting week of October 25th.

The title track, “Circus,” was released as the second single along with the album on Spears’ 27th birthday, December 2nd. The songs catchy lyrics and intriguing beat will easily ensure another consecutive high charting single for Spears’ tally.

Listening close to the track, “If U Seek Amy,” will have listeners seriously debating if this song should have been renamed something a bit more explicit. Effortlessly making ‘…Amy,’ a must hear track off of Circus.

Spears’ camp had a smart idea by putting a standout track, “Radar,” from 2007’s Blackout, on Circus. The song was originally planned for a June 2008 fourth single release but eventually was scrapped, since a new album was being recorded. The computer enhanced vocals only add to the song’s ear candy appeal.

Straying away from Spears currently popular Electro Pop sound, songs like “Out From Under,” help to prove Spears can still deliver solid ballads like she has before. Such as 2004’s “Everytime,” which reached number 15 on the Hot 100. Both songs were produced by Guy Sigsworth.

Not only releasing a new album, this time around, Spears will also embark on a concert tour starting in March 2009. The tour will be billed as, The Circus Starring: Britney Spears, and even feature the Pussycat Dolls as opening act in the North American leg.

Gaining back the prominence she once held throughout her late teenage years, Spears definitely seems well on her way back to becoming the old Spears many loved to see put on outstanding dance numbers opposed to covering the gossip magazines week to week. With a new show for the world to see, Circus will surely show Britney fans & critics why her Circus is the place to be in 2009 and the years to come.

Ciara's Album Dilemma

“Go Girl,” from the start WAS expected to be the first single for Ciara’s Fantasy Ride, there’s no denying that. All artists’ singles which are made into videos were intended singles; whether they become hot or not. Otherwise record labels would just solicit them to radio, and not create an expensive music video for it. Just like how Keri Hilson’s people are trying to say that “Return The Favor,” [which I really like the demo version of…] wasn’t the album’s second single. Saying “Turnin’ Me On,” now is. Nope to me if the label goes as far as dropping tons of money for a video, especially as they did for “Go Girl,” it was intended as a single.

I am not looking toward Ciara’s album. I bought The Evolution: of Ciara and it wasn’t a bad CD at all, but she just doesn’t have the same buzz that she used to. I didn’t even like “High Price,” that opera style singing was trash, doesn’t have the voice to make something like that cool AT ALL! Maybe it’s the age that is turning me away from her music. Kinda like the Crunk style worked better when she was 19, rather than, what isn’t she 23 now. So the only way for Ciara to engage me again in her music is for her to release a bangin’ NEW (2nd) single from the album. And please don’t try to come with some “Promise,” wannabe type of single, highly doubt that will work again.

Sadly I still to this day have not seen the entire video of Ciara’s single, “Go Girl.” Probably since the fact of her and T-Pain on a song should have been a Crunk to the 10th level type of song, and it definitely is not, Disappointment! And the other sad thing about it was the other collaboration they did for T-Pain’s album Thr33 Ringz wasn’t a high energy track either. But I must admit, “Blowing Up,” was better!

Also, for Ciara to try to make up a alter ego named Super C [which did seem like a competition with Sasha Fierce] is extraordinarily lame, like c'mon there were better names than that. Somebody had said it sounded like a Gas Station, and they were right (LMAO!)

Female Throwback Jam: “Swing My Way" 12.4.08

Again for this week another 1997 Hip Hop & R&B song becomes our Female Throwback Jam of the week. "Swing My Way," was the only single released by the duo, K.P. & Envyi despite it becoming a popular single which reached number 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. K.P. was the rapper of the two while Envyi soulfully sang in the song. Although the song was popular they duo would be known as a One Hit Wonder of the 90's since they didn't release any other popular singles. Which is a sad thing because on "Swing My Way," they complemented each others vocals well.

[Side Note(s)]
K.P. is the initials for member Khia, though she is not the same Khia who sang 2002's "My Neck My Back."

A Young Polow Da Don can be seen as the love interest in the video too.

Male Throwback Jam: “My Love Is The Shhh...” 12.4.08

This weeks Male Throwback Jam actually comes from a male & female group of the the 90's. Something For The People, featured two male and female vocalists and is most known for the 1997 hit single, "My Love Is The Shhh..." which reached number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100. Anyone who was into R&B music from the 90's has heard this song before and back in the day loved it. Not much was heard of the group after the success of "My Love Is The Shhh..." Still enjoy this weeks Male Throwback Jam!

Female Throwback Jam: “No, No, No” [Part II] 11.27.08

Again, it is a tad bit late but this weeks Female Throwback Jam comes to us from the then R&B quartet Destiny's Child. The members then consisted of Beyonce, Kelly, LeToya, & LaTavia. The remix to the groups debut song, "No, No, No," changed it from a a slow tempo ballad into a Wyclef produced club hit. The single jump started the incredible career of Destiny's Child and even their front woman, Beyonce's future solo career. Though their debut CD wasn't half as big as the likes of Survivor or The Writings On The Wall, "No, No, No" [Part II] will always be essential to the late 90's female group trends.

Male Throwback Jam: “You Make Me Wanna...” 11.27.08

Yes it is a tad bit late but this weeks Male Throwback Jam comes to us from Usher. Though not his debut single ,"You Make Me Wanna..." was really what jump started Usher as the Entertainer. The video featured Usher dancing around a set with visual copies of himself which actually made him look like a group rather a solo artist. This almost seems the start of popular male singers utilizing dance skills to coincide with their music. The song will remain an R&B favorite of the 90's forever.

Competition: PussyCat Dolls vs Beyopnce | "Halo"

So ironically the PussyCat Dolls and Beyonce, they both have songs on their 2008 albums entitled “Halo.” While the PussyCat Dolls “Halo,” featured a mid tempo Timbaland produced beat, Beyonce’s version more of a ballad and was written by OneRepublic’s lead singer Ryan Tedder and was intended for Leona Lewis (who also wrote Leona Lewis’ number 1 single “Bleeding Love”).

I actually think this is one PussyCat Dolls song which really suits Nicole Scherzinger well. The way it’s sung, I don’t think would be as good if a different Doll shared lead vocals. That being said it would be nice to hear them take the lead on some songs released as singles. I think this song could actually be a hit for them, and should have been released over “Whatcha Think About That.” I think PCD really released that song in hopes of it doing better than Danity Kane’s “Bad Girl,” since they both featured Missy Elliott.

“Halo,” is scheduled to be one of Beyonce’s next singles off of her I Am… Sasha Fierce album. I expect the song to reach the tops of the charts especially since the Beyonce craze has started and the fact that Ryan Tedder had a number 1 single with Leona Lewis helps too.

I am enjoying both of the songs, and the question does not have to come down to Beyonce vs. Nicole Scherzinger at all. I am just curious to see what people think of the songs overall.

Female Throwback Jam: “Not Tonite” [Remix] 11.20.08

People who were into Hip Hop & R&B music of the 90’s will totally remember and love our Female Throwback Jam of the week. It comes from Lil’ Kim and features an ‘all star team’ of female rappers including, Angie Martinez, Left Eye of TLC, Da Brat and Missy Elliott. Along with the lyricists the video for "Not Tonite" [Remix] (often referred to as, 'Ladies Night') featured grand cast too, including cameos from Blaque, Queen Latifa, Mary J. Blige, SWV, Xscape, Total and many others. The video was an all out party where the women were catered to by men. The song was released as Lil’ Kim’s 3rd solo lead single and off of the Nothing To Lose soundtrack back in April of 1997. The song became a summer smash and peaked at number 6 on The Billboard Hot 100.

Male Throwback Jam: “Juicy” 11.20.08

So this week’s Male Throwback Jam comes from no one other than The Notorious B.I.G. His debut lead single, “Juicy,” features former Bad Boy female group Total singing the inspirational chorus, off of his ironically titled 1994 debut album Ready To Die. The song’s lyrics speak about growing up with almost nothing and turning your life around to make yourself successful and happy of your success. The song is said to be one of the greatest Hip Hop songs ever. The video features various acted out scenes of past life situations of Biggie as well as him celebrating and living the good life. Although Biggie was shot back on March 9th, 1997, at age 24, his legacy will forever live on through his cunning lyrics and memorable songs.

Alter Ego Takes Over | Beyonce -I Am...Sasha Fierce [Review]

Move over Beyonce Knowles, this time around another singer, Sasha Fierce clearly wants to introduce herself and set her name apart from Mrs. Knowles. Well not exactly, on Beyonce’s third solo album, I Am…Sasha Fierce, Beyonce mixes two different musical sounds and genres onto separate discs to form one album.

Beyonce obviously learned her fans enjoy hearing different sides to her music, evident from her 2003 number 1 Billboard Hot 100 Hip Hop & R&B-Funk song, “Crazy In Love,” to her 2006 smooth mid tempo Soft Rock number 1, “Irreplaceable.” So Beyonce decided to release two A-side singles for her third solo album.

“If I Were A Boy,” is a mid tempo, vocal showcasing song which was geared toward Pop radio formats. The cinematic music video was made to show the scenario of how men would feel if women treated them as men sometimes do women. So far ‘Boy’ has reached number 3 on the Hot 100.

While “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It),” was geared for the clubs and rhythmic radio formats. Sounding much like a continuation of her previous single, “Get Me Bodied,” released from 2006’s B’Day. Though both of the videos were in black and white, ‘Single’ was a dance performance video; as ‘Boy’ was simply a mini movie.

The generalized sound of songs under the, I Am… title are slow ballads which aren’t to striking after a first listen and may come off as boring to Beyonce’s usual R&B fan base.

A few standouts were present as well. “Broken Hearted Girl,” and “Halo,” feature lyrics that seem touching and realistic. Production on these tracks was great as well. Speculated next single “Halo,” was written by lead singer of OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder, and actually intended for one of his past collaborators, Leona Lewis (who shared a number 1 collaboration with “Bleeding Love,”).

Beyonce previously told fans that Sasha was her on stage alter ego who she essentially becomes while on stage performing and takes her to a more energy driven exciting level. The intense vibe is definitely present on the Sasha Fierce portion of the album as well. Majority of the songs have an energy level which clearly is not present on the I Am... tracks.

On the Sasha Fierce side, you quickly indentify signature Beyonce catchiness; which is present on tracks like “Video Phone.” From its current-craze title, slick lyrics and its hard hitting beat, Beyonce scores a repeat track with this cut.

“Ego,” is another song where Beyonce clearly utilizes her versatility to create a unique retro, Pop-Funk, Soul jam. She states, “Some call it arrogant, I call it confident,” as she refers to her specific chosen guy.

Inspired by Lil’ Wayne’s “A Milli,” Beyonce recorded a song called “Diva,” to a remarkably similar beat; both produced by Bangladesh. She raps and says why she is number 1 among fellow female artists.

Overall I Am…Sasha Fierce clearly directs Beyonce in a different diverse direction. She creates a way to dominate multiple music sounds and genres, all while bringing a unique conceptual idea to her album. Beyonce’s previous work has sold in outstanding amounts, and I Am…Sasha Fierce couldn’t have come at a better time. Though it may not be every Beyonce fans cup of tea, expect I Am...Sasha Fierce to become another big album for Mrs. Knowles-Carter.

Male Throwback Jam: "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See " 11.13.08

Busta Rhymes scores this weeks Male Throwback Jam of the week. His 1997 single, "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See," will forever be remembered as a classic 90's Hip Hop song. From the songs intense bass and it's slick lyrics Busta Rhymes clearly delivered a track that could still have everybody get live at any given occasion. The song was released as the second single from his sophomore album, When Disaster Strikes. The video was based off of the movie Coming To America and featured Busta Rhymes dressed in various clothing and dancers during the chorus. Since then Busta Rhymes has released 5 albums and is currently working on his 8th album. He's also had 7 Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 singles as well.

Female Throwback Jam: "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)" 11.13.08

This week the Female Throwback Jam of the week comes from a prominent Hip Hop artist. Missy Elliott debuted onto the music scene as a solo artist back in 1997 with her debut album, Supa Dupa Fly and released her debut single, "The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)" which became a popular song amongst Hip Hop fans. Missy came out with a new creative, unique music video for the single which featured odd things like her blown up in an suit which looked like black trash bags to her sitting on a fake hill wearing a long black wig. The classic video is only one reason why Missy fans still love her music and style to this day. Since 1997 Missy Elliott has released 5 other studio albums and is currently working on her 7th.

Hurry Up, Ashanti! New Single Necessary!

So I really think it’s about time that Ashanti release another single off of The Declaration soon. Since she didn’t try to revamp the airplay success of “Good Good,” with a remix, a third single is in order to keep people onto her current album. My personal favorite track from the album by far has got to be “In These Streets.” This could make a good single cause it is catchy mid-tempo song; not to fast or slow.

Though there has been rumors that the choice was once said to be the breakup ridden “So Over You.” And even more recently between “Struggle,” the we’re meant for each other-let’s work things out song and “You’re Gonna Miss,” a positive you’ll never find anyone better song.

While “Struggle,” has been a fan favorite since the albums release in June; the best option for Ashanti in my eyes, would be to release two singles. One aired to R&B radio formats and the other toward Pop formats. This would work out great if Ashanti is deciding between “Struggle,” & “You’re Gonna Miss,” since “Struggle,” would easily suit R&B formats well and “You’re Gonna Miss,” has a Pop vibe to it, perfect for Pop Stations. Not to mention a double video, “Struggle/You’re Gonna Miss” would be a good look for Ashanti as well, something new!

Whatever the single choice is, let’s hurry up and get a single out Ashanti, before people forget how great The Declaration, actually is.

What do you think about "In These Streets," as a single?

"...Never Say Bye Bye," or should we?

Wow, Mariah Carey left me in shock, after this performance. Like what in the world; how do you go from being one of the greatest singers from the 90s to something like this vocal performance? From the first lyrics it seemed off. People have been mentioning Carey’s vocals deteriorating and being worse lately, but I never really thought much of it, until hearing this rendition of “Hero.” Really sad for a singer who solely performs with her voice (She doesn’t dance, and hardly works the stage).

After hearing Mariah Carey basically butcher her own song, “Hero,” I really would love so hear her sing her 2005 smash hit, “We Belong Together,” and attempt to hit that last note which she used to be able to hit live and hold for what seemed like an eternity. After this I highly doubt she could even come close to her old performances of “We Belong Together.

Who knew 3 years (2006-2008) could make such a difference.

Female Throwback Jam: "Breakdown" 11.6.08

In 1998 Mariah Carey released “Breakdown” as her third single from her 6th full length studio album Butterfly. The song and memorable music video featured Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Mariah Carey who played different roles within the video such as being a magician’s assistant. Since 1998 Mariah Carey has suffered from a personal breakdown of her own, and gained prominence again with her 2005 single “We Belong Together.” Currently she is promoting her most recent album, E=MC².

Male Throwback Jam: “Put It On Me” 11.6.08

Back in 2000 when Ja Rule was ruling the Hip Hop game, he released one of his biggest singles “Put It On Me,” which featured label mate Vita and then frequent collaborator Lil’ Mo. Released from his 2nd studio album, Rule 3:36, “Put It On Me,” became his first top ten Billboard Hot 100 singling reaching number 8. After its release Ja Rule continued his reign and eventually scored his first number 1 single. Currently Ja Rule has been supposedly preparing his 7th studio album currently entitled The Mirror.

Deserving Candidate Gets Elected 44th President

What a conclusion to this long awaited race for presidency has brought us. Who would have thought that in the year of 2008, an African American man would get elected as our 44th president of the United States of America? Feelings of happiness, excitement, enjoyment are among the few feeling currently going through so many proud Americans who’ve taken notice of a person deserving of such an outstanding honor.

Senator Barack Obama, currently known as the Presidential-elect, Obama, definitely has walked through this long battle and came out with a graceful win. By overcoming Hilary Clinton for the democratic nomination the defeat of John McCain and his campaign he’s defining a moment not only in his life, but in the life of our nation, and for everyone to witness.

Obama will not only be remembered for his courageous journey of becoming the first African American or Black president, but his powerful speeches, respectable manners, and overall character will be remembered and forever praised by many for years to come.

Though it may be sad that Obama’s grandmother didn’t get to see physically view her grandson’s presidential-elect, like many others even including Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and personal family members of ours get to spiritually see the accomplishment and all of what’s to come.

Congratulations to all who’ve made this possible. Yes We Can! Because we did!

How'd This Rumor Catch On?

So I’m really wondering where this whole recent Lil’ Wayne was killed/shot dead rumor started from. I mean one single person couldn’t have spread such a catching rumor about him passing away.

For people who really know things about Lil’ Wayne probably really wondered after hearing that he was “dead.” Especially since Lil’ Wayne has openly stated that he’s addicted to syrup, and that he won’t stop drinking it.

Any ways I really hope it isn’t true for the fact that it would be a sad day in Hip Hop that it’s most current best selling rapper died. People have said it happened from Halloween through Sunday… So let’s all hope this was a nasty rumor somebody started to spread rather than the truth and that Lil’ Wayne’s reps aren’t just holding the information to release it on Monday, November 3rd, 2008.

No Shannon! 3 -> 2 = Danity Duo

Wow! So look here. Does it surprise anyone that Shannon Bex supposedly quit Danity Kane? I sure hope not, because it shouldn’t! Shannon didn’t seem to happy on the live season finale of Making The Band after Sway said, that MTV basically renewed the show for another season, and saying that they were going to find new members/replacements for Aubrey & D.Woods.

Plus Shannon was way to mature for Diddy and his childish BS of how he tried to blame Danity Kane for the issues which he was going to bring upon them as he insinuated that he wanted D.Woods out, after kicking out Aubrey.

By now, if Shannon’s departure of the group is true, then I think Aundrea is only staying around in hopes that Diddy will give her a solo deal. Because we all know with Shannon gone Diddy is just one step closer of having his goal achieved, Dawn with a solo deal on Bad Boy. Not to mention Diddy called Aundrea out as a “problem child,” and practically put her in the same group as Aubrey & D.Woods. Thats a diss Diddy!

I could see a label picking up Aubrey as a solo artist; I just hope the same could be possible for Shannon and if so that she’d sell and become at least a B-list pop star, since she seems so nice, genuine & deserving.

So much for Welcome To The Dollhouse outselling Danity Kane and releasing more singles than it as well. Good luck Danity Duo-doubt a newly reformed DK will reach the short lived DK peak!

Keri Copies...

So I guess when Keri was saying that this video was going to introduce the “superstar Keri,” she meant it was going to aim at selling sex appeal.

2nd I like how it kinda did the intro with “The Way I Are,” but that should have been done for her first leading/solo track which would have been “Energy.” Now if they would have switched the clip from, “The Way I Are,” to “Energy,” then start the video for “Return The Favor,” that would have made a lot more sense.

3rd, I’m not feeling all of the Rihanna copies. First when Keri was like by all of the mirrors, Rihanna did that exact type of thing in her video for, “SOS (Rescue Me).” Secondly when she was attempting to do a dance routine at the end of the video, in the dark/black clothing and dancing on water, is damn near exactly what Rihanna did in “Umbrella,” except she was bare-foot and held an umbrella.

I mean over all, it wasn’t too intriguing, but it wasn’t that bad.

Still Keri should have definitely went with the Demo version of the song, the “Kiss me and I’ll kiss you back…” chorus is much more interesting than the, “hey, hey ,hey…I’ll return the favor,” chorus!

KanYe, Really Cocky Now!

So, Kanye West’s album 808s & Heartbreaks which is scheduled to be released on November 25th, 2008 has been said to be an all singing album from the rapper. The only rap verse will be coming from Young Jeezy. Lil’ Wayne is also featured on one song, where the two duet together. I suppose this is the way he's going to try to prove he's the ultimate artist-Good luck wit hthis one.

Judging from the likes of the first single, “Love Lockdown,” I am not going to be supporting this version of Kanye West. He came out with a great first album, his two follow ups were decent, but for him to get so cocky and think people want to hear an entire album of him singing, to me is bogus. All I can say is good luck with this one Kanye.

“Love Lockdown,” made it to number 3 on The Billboard Hot 100, based primarily off of downloads, though the single as seems so disappear out of the Top 50 shortly after it’s peak.

Obvious Standout will Exceed A-Side

So, after viewing and hearing both of Beyonce’s new singles, I must admit one outshines the other by a long shot. I’m really not digging the vibe of “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” the song, or the video. The video was extremely boring, and overly simple, just dancing, Um, I don’t think so-to me that screams boring. Not to mention the song really has the vibe of “Get Me Bodied.”

As for “If I Were A Boy,” I think Beyonce totally got Toby Gad, to write a somewhat similar musical knock of Fergie’s “Big Girls Don’t Cry (Personal),” mixed with the message of Ciara’s “Like A Boy.” That being sad, it still is a decent song with an interesting video concept. I really enjoyed how almost until the end of the song, we didn’t see Beyonce singing any of the song, we only saw the cinematic video being acted out. The dramatic dialogue after the song’s bridge was a nice additon as well.

Overall I think we will look to see a lot more of “If I Were A Boy,” and a lot less of “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” since it’s obvious which is a stronger contender for becoming a Top Billboard Hot 100 single, and that one single is intended for Pop radio (CHR/Top 40), while the other being Urban formats (Hip Hop/R&B).

Random Thought: 'Finally' Fergie's 'Labels'

Did anyone else wonder why Fergie never fully released “Finally,” as a complete single? Cause I do. I mean, it was sent to radio, but why wasn’t there ever a video released? I really do think that the single could have had a lot of potential on Adult Contemporary radio formats, and who knows how Fergie’s streak was, it should have became an easy Top 10 for her with correct promotion.

On top of that somewhat failed single, it also seemed to me that the soundtrack and deluxe version (of The Dutchess) released single, “Labels Or Love,” failed too. Since it was released as a soundtrack single you expect a video, and we never got to see any sort of video to help promote the movie. Which to me, “Labels Or Love,” is the Fergie sound which sold multiple of her singles, such as, “London Bridge,” & “Fergalicious.”

Though who really knows, maybe her label thought it would be good to get her out of the spotlight since her album did s well, having 5 Top 5 Billboard Hot 100’s, and receiving exposure from Mid-2006 through Early 2008. Or that she needed to lay off of the spotlight since her groups expected album is supposed to be released anytime soon. Anyways I really think “Finally,” and “Labels Or Love,” deserved the full quality single releases which hthey didn’t receive.

Back At One!

So I must say I think it’s a good turn of events for Britney Spears to finally score her second number 1 Billboard Hot 100 single, for the week of October 18th, 2008. “Womanizer,” the lead single from her forthcoming album Circus, went from number 96 to 1 in a week-mainly off of downloads, and continued airplay. Although I am kind of wondering how “Gimme More,” which shot to number 3 last year primarily after its digital release; And after it kind of started to fall slowly.

Regardless this is the right way to continue Britney’s 2nd coming of her career, especially since a spring tour is planned for promotion of Circus as well as Blackout (2007). I remembering hearing that this album was going to be more in the Urban Pop direction, though “Womanizer,” seems more Electro Pop to me, I guess time will tell what the album’s sound will consists of. Circus is due in stores on Spears 27th birthday, this Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008.

A Trio, Best Way Now!

Wow, so Diddy actually wasn’t “kicking” Aubrey O’Day out of Danity Kane as a publicity stunt. Big surprise that Wanita “D.Woods” Woodgette left the group as well, I think not; especially since their Ebony & Ivory friendship. Which I did find really ironic because back when the members were finally chosen as the group, Aubrey and Aundrea were best friends and it seemed genuine. Didn’t really see or notice when they kind of went their own ways.

It leaves the possibility for any sort of group with the label Danity Kane, and under Bad Boy Records, really in an odd direction. The best route for them in my eyes would be to continue as a trio. But most likely and as already speculated, Diddy is probably going to hold auditions for a Making The Band 5. To me, that’s doing way too much. Its bad enough Diddy practically broke the group up, rather letting them do so on their own, but you know in his mind he is thinking of this.

Poor Shannon, never really had a big role in the group (meaning never had many exciting solo parts), or on the show, yet was and probably is the nicest member of the group. For that only reason I hope for success of Danity Kane only if they continue as a trio or unless Diddy signs each to a solo deal. New members are out of the picture for me, it just won’t be the same.

Bye Bye Aubrey! Not a good move Diddy...

OK, what in the world was Diddy thinking of kicking out Aubrey O’Day from Danity Kane, even if he only did it for a publicity stunt. It’s going to make fans of her, not like him, and lose respect for the band in general if he pulls stuff like this. Girl groups have line up changes on their own, Diddy get out of the girl [ish] business and let them do the breaking up, and line up changes on their own.

Aubrey may not be the best singer in the group, but she playas very important role in the group if you ask me, even if you call her the crazy/slut/fake whatever it may be, she does add a lot of spunk to DK which would not be there if she wasn’t.
I did not see the episode of this past weeks Making The Band, but it’s not marketable move. She’s an interesting person. So if you are for real Diddy, bad move!

Keri Hilson almost had a banger!

So I must say, I thought Keri Hilson made a great Pop song along with Timbaland, “Return The Favor.” But I come to find out that the official or album version of the song completely changes the chorus into a different less catchy chorus. The boring album version features Keri saying “hey” over and over, while Timbaland responds, “I’ll Return The Favor.” Yes it really is that annoying and lame!

So, it’s still is a good song, but sadly enough I’d prefer to illegally download the demo version rather than the album version. Also the album version, which is currently featured on online sites has a really long, no lyrics outro. Also boring.

All together Keri really should have gone with the demo version, but I am wondering if she didn’t cause the lyrics may have been “too dirty.” It said things like “Love me and I’ll love you back…”

Pretty much this is the “Promiscuous,” of 2008, by Keri & Timbo rather than Nelly Furtado.

Top 4 (1-4) Predictions on Amer.Idol

So I am making my prediction for the Top contestants of Amer.Idol 7. In order I think it will be:

1. David Cook
2. David Archuleta
3. / 4. Brooke White OR Carly Smithson*

1st off I said this before the season started, I believed that a male contestant would win this season. I think David C. will win because he has the most unique talent this year out of all of the guys. Plus there hasn't been a rock (genre) winner yet. But there has been a pop rock, gospel, R&B, country, soul, and pop winner. It just would fit perfectly, if you ask me. I think in a winner sense he may deserve it more so than David A., he's been doing so well, yes because he has a great voice, but also because he is this seasons "popular vote." If David A. becomes a runner up he still will become widely famous, popularly likely too. Though a mexican-american hasn't won yet. Hmmm... Makes you think! I really have liked Brooke since day 1 when I saw her, and I'd love for her to win, but again, it's a male winner year. Her style is unique, pure, and she'd be a great role model. I am putting Carly up there with her, since she has been named the best vocalist female wise sine what the top 50, 24... i mean she's good, but to me she really had her chance before. I really would be mad if she won, but again it's a male winner year.

* I am sort of torn between Brooke and Carly when it comes to the top 4, I want Brooke to place 3rd, because I like her style more than Carly's. That is why it has the slash between the two names above.

Bottom 8 (4-8) WANT Predictions on Amer.Idol

I suppose the bottom contestants of the top 8, of American Idol 7, in order to me should be (yes this is an order of how much I like these 4 contestants basically):

5. Jason Castro
6. Michael Johns
7. Syesha Mercado
8. Kristy Lee Cook

I really like Jason Castro's simplicity and musical style. Although vocally his voice is the weakest out of maybe all of the contestants, except I'm not sure how strong Kristy's is, so I guess he has her beat! I wouldn't mind him going even further in the competition but I think saying Top 5 for him, may be a bit past his range (no pun intended)! Michael may easily take over the 5th position. Then who knows really. Kristy and Syesha (Kristy more) have had a ton of bottom 3 appearances. VFTW may really be having a pull over her stay. because Kristy should have been gone at 12, shoot 16! Asia'h was way better than her. Regardless yes that is where I believe the contest should be heading, of course if I had my way! Poor Ramiele, I wanted her to be a part of Mariah Carey week : ( -though her song choice wasn't good, seriously, the only song I think fit her well, was "Alone." And the judges (Simon) Didn't even like that much!

Amer.Idol Top 10 -> 9 | Songwriter's Contest

So I really could care less about who gets voted off for American Idol anymore. I think it was messed up that ppl behind the scenes of Amer.Idol kicked off Amanda Overmyer, because she would be the most unique/different from the tour. I don't believe that she was truly voted off last week from merely America's votes. That's a load of BS. Kristy Lee Cook should have been off last week, but since she is more tour friendly they decided to keep her... That's truly what I think went down. So yeah whoever gets off gets off. I mean I'll still watch but not into it as much anymore. Though I am entering the song writing contest, and I think [ironically] David A. would do a great job of singing the song I wrote... Hmmm! I don't know, maybe Brook or Carly as well could sing it. Don't know how it would sound with a rock vibe(David C.) but wouldn't mind him winning. Hope I win (the AI Songwriter's contest)!

Pretty much boring until the note!

So I saw Mariah [Carey] perform "Touch My Body," again for the second time live, 1st I saw was on SNL and now on The Hills special premier, which aired tonight. And I must admit, she's NOT the greatest performer. Yes she can sing live better than some, but all she does is just stand there. And moves her hands to the note she's singing. It's nothing spectacular. The biggest excitement during a MC performance is seeing if she can actually hold the note that's usually in her song, as long as she did on the track. Well in short yes, I don't recall if MC was every a extraordinary performer [great vocals and a show(dance, audience interaction)] but clearly she isn't anymore. Also she had some guy come out to server her water, and throat spray, which didn't help her much because she still half way lost her voice during the finale song, "We Belong Together."

"Go find her on the mountain in Colorado."

Being from Colorado myself, I found it extremely funny, what Spencer [Pratt] from MTV's The Hills said on the premier episode which aired tonight. When he was talking to his sister who came over to find his house extremely messy, when she asked him, what are you going to do? He responded, "Go find her on the mountain in Colorado." It really isn't funny, but when you think of how he said it and in the context it is.. Hey Spencer, guess the luck wasn't too good on that mountain in Colorado, huh?

Was it just me too, or did Heidi look extremely different when she was in Colorado, like her forehead/face/hair... O' well! Wonder what this season will bring for us.

Amer.Idol 3.19.08 | Top 11 --> Top 10!!

So this week I am still wanting the same people off of Amer.Idol. Which includes Kristy Lee Cook(I don't like country Idols for the most part, except Carrie Underwood-and I gotta hear Kellie Pickler tonight, goodness), Chikezie(Still reminds me of a Ruben and I can do with out...), Michael Johns(If he kept doing the soul-pop thing rather soul-rock, I'd like him...) and Syesha Mercado(She supposedly had a good week, so she can be spared this week! But she bores me.) But yeah those are who I really want to get off soon!

Plus Ramielle needs to step up her game or soon she's gonna be off. It's like she doesn't wanna be there since all of her friends left... Her song choice has been really bad.

My fave's are still Amanda, Brooke, David C., and Jason C.. So I hope they make it into the top 6 which you know most likely David A. & Carly will be in with them as well... Since they are the popular votes and best male/female vocals this year.

Is Anybody Listening vs. Question Existing

So...
I just think I've realized something. Rihanna's song "Question Existing" was originally planned for Danity Kane. But Danity Kane reportedly turned it down and didn't accept it as a song, because it didn't have their sound or something to that extent. [There was even an episode of MTB 4 Season 2 where they listened to "Question Existing."] Regardless, I personally think that the song they chose in it's place was, "Is Anybody Listening." Because to me the songs kinda have similar meanings. And bot hare mid-tempo/ballad songs, both asking questions.... hmmmm!

But If I had to chose a better song or one that I like more, it would definitely be, "Is Anybody Listening." I truly think it is the best song on their album. Everything from the vocals, ad lib's, beat, and style of the song is more than GREAT! I really think and hope for this to be their second single from Welcome To The Dollhouse. Although since they are trying to conquer the Dance-Pop world, and the fact that the second single, "Ride For You," a ballad [such as "Is Anybody Listening,"] and it didn't to well as a second single, they are probably going to go with a up beat, dance track as a second single. And Dawn's "Light's Out," is the most popular on iTunes from the album as of now too! Hint, Hint! [And I do like "Lights Out" too!, but not as much : / Cuz I DO NOT like "Bad Girl," which is the other front runner... : (]

Regardless, "Is Anybody Listening," to me is the best song from Welcome To The Dollhouse, and I think it should be the second single!

DANITY KANE better than their DOLLHOUSE

So overall I was disappointed by this album[Welcome To The Dollhouse]! I really expected a great album that I would totally want to buy, but this wasn't the case. I heard the entire album on MTV's The Leak, and tracks that I liked from the show I didn't even like as much while listening to the album. I do think, "Is Anybody Listening," is a great track though. Probably the standout track from the entire set. Followed by "Poetry." These two songs showcase their vocals, although probably not in the best light, but it allows for DK's sound to blend and mix (harmonize) well. Tracks like, "Bad Girl," and "Ecstasy," which both feature artists, aren't anything special at all to me. I do think many of the songs are OK, but the CD isn't a grabber at first listen. When I say that I mean, most tracks will take me time to get to like. Just as the first single, "Damaged," it had to grow on me, as well. Other tracks that were OK to me included "Sucka For Love," & "Lights Out". Maybe it's because I liked the R&B feel over the Dance-Pop feel but overall I have to agree that from a first listen, their debut CD, Danity Kane, was much better.

Review is also posted on iTunes & thanks to MTV's The Leak for streaming the album prior to it's release!

Does she want a STANDING OVATION

So, I just heard Rihanna's new song/single, "Take A Bow." After hearing that Ne-Yo wrote it, and it's title, I thought it would have been better than it was. The lyrics were just kind of expected, it could've went somewhere else but didn't. [Hope Ne-Yo isn't trying to give Rihanna an "Irreplaceable" reject/wannabe] Stargate, whose also worked their Rihanna-magic, produced the song, and I am glad to say the song doesn't have the guitar based, "Irreplaceable," "With You," "Good Girl Gone Bad," similar beat. Not to mention I truly don't think that Rihanna sang her best on the song. Regardless the song isn't bad, but not her best, by far. It's supposed to be released as the lead single for the re-release of GGGB, but what happened to "Rehab," being a single? [I really think a track with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, and Rihanna ("Rehab") would be something people would want to hear, as a single...] Oh well, I suppose people at Def Jam believe Rihanna can do no wrong at this point in her career, which may be true but again, I'd love to see Rihanna top this album and any of her current success with any future releases [Album or single].

Break The Ice official ANIMATED music video

So the animated video is supposed to be the official video for "Break The Ice." And I don't thin kit was a good idea for promotion reasons. I don't care how good the animation is. To me I couldn't see an animated video top the TRL countdown, for days a time. I think people will easily get bored of the video, and I don't think the animated video will help the song chart higher than "Piece Of Me," which I believe topped the Hot 100 at 18. I hope the video was meant to be animated. Because if Britney just didn't think she had time to film a video, that's bogus. Technically you could film a video in 1 day, maybe 15 hours tops. Maybe not the best video, but still.

Lennon/McCartney Song Book again!!!

I'm upset that the people at Fox/Amer.Idol are deciding to change the song selection from Top 100 songs from iTunes [which was reported on Wikipedia] to again another week of Lennon/McCartney songs!!! Ahhh, why I mean I admit they did do justice to some of their songs but diversity, which includes different song categories/genres allows for the contestants to be more diverse and gain different audiences as fans. So It really does upset me another week devoted to John Lennon and Paul McCartney songs... Geeze!

Brooke was great!

So, my favorite performance of last night would definitely have to go to Brooke White! I loved her performance of "Let It Be." And I even bought it. I think Brooke would be great as an American Idol, because she has such a positive take on life and would be a great role model for people. I think her rendition of the song could very much be a single on today's radio as well. Way to go Brooke, great performance and song choice! You made me even more of a fan!

Amer.Idol Voting Off | From 12 to 11

So for Amer.Idol tonight who I don't mind to see leave the show include: Chikezie, Syesha, Michael, or Kristy Lee Cook.

Judging from those though I think Chikezie is safe for sure since the judges loved him last night. Syesha may be in trouble but atleast they didn't say her performance was boreing. Michael's performance was to me not anything spectacular. And Kristy's was a country mess. So most likely she'll be leaving. not to mention on Wikipedia it now stated her and Syesha were in the bottom 3! I don't mind either of them going, but Kristy's country isn't cuttin' it for me.

Possible Video Album?

So I remember reading on Wikipedia [I know sometimes not credible] that Rihanna was suppose to release a video album sort of like what Beyonce did for B'Day for her Good Girl Gone Bad album. And I really think it would be a better video album rather than B'Day's. Because majority of the songs from GGGB are good, I think I like all but like 2! So yeah Rihanna should have released one, especially how good GGGB has been doing, I don't expect her to have a CD that exceeds it's success.

HA HA: I know this is a very bad picture of Rihanna, but It's funny, and I wanted to post it, HA HA!

Damaging Video? | I think so!

OK, so I just saw Danity Kane's new video for "Damaged." It was rather disappointing if you ask me.

First off near the end there was way to many ad-libs going on, and it totally destroyed the songs appeal if you ask me. The version I have is way more simple, and just sounded better that way. I mean usually I'm all for the single version to be different from the album/video version but I think they were doing way to much this time around.

Second, why in the world is Diddy talking all throughout the end of the video! I don't wanna hear that, do you? I mean if he wanted to be featured he needed to rap or worse yet, sing! His voice at the end was extremely unnecessary and useless.

Third the futureristic thing that the majority of the video was surrounded around was unique, but I really don't think it goes with the song. Plus there was way more laying on those bed type things rather than them dancing. Didn't Dawn say it was generally or mostly a dance video, or am I wrong?

Regardless I do think it was very important for Diddy/Bad Boy to release the video before the album's release, but if it doesn't make it big soon, It really will have been to late, and won't even boost album sells. To me, I think if Danity Kane has another chart topping album(this year/time around) they will have been very lucky.

Sorry Diddy, MTB 4 Season 2 just was moving way too slow this time if you ask me. The video should have been released like 2 weeks earlier. So it could possibly be topping like the TRL countdown by the album release date(3.18.08) so they could perform it then! Duh!

Amer.Idol 5.7.08 Recap | Top 12

[Picture courtesy of TMZ.com via Getty Images]
I was actually sad yesterday to see Asia’h Epperson leave Amer.Idol,
especially over Kristy Lee Cook. I think Asia’h had a good voice, and
was very unique. Her vocals even reminded me of Keyshia Cole’s!! So
that was sad, as for Kady Maloy I kinda knew she was going, she stood
on probably way longer than anybody would have thought she would have.

Again, I’m not one bit sad that boring I mean Luke Menard left. Week
after week he seemed like the one Simon should have said was
forgettable and had no personality. So thank goodness he’s finally
gone. As for Danny leaving, I was mad about that as well. Yes he was
a bit girl, yes he was a bit dramatic but that was actually different.
Plus his voice was bad if you ask me, I mean it wasn’t the type of
voice I would expect from somebody who was gay. I really wanted to
see Chikezie go home. He is really starting to annoy me. He’s
practically like the Rueben Studdard of the show just lighter and has
a roll of the back of his head [that is weird]. Plus he won’t win -no
chance!

So as of now I guess who I would think of winning would still have to
be David Archuleta for the guys. I mean do you hear how much
promotion he’s getting. Song writers already writing songs for him,
you know that makes him feel really good.

As for the girls they are saying the best vocals are coming from Carly
consistently and most often, so I guess she’d be the girl ahead of the
race. Although I’d rather it be someone like Ramiele M. She is good,
and I think seriously her songs aren’t letting her showcase her voice
as needed.

Here are my projected positions of the challenge as is now, although I
am plugging David
Archuleta in as the winner based of the fact of all of his publicity.
The rest of the positions are who I would like to see… So in all the
spots 12-2 is basically an order of who I like the most at this
moment. Not a big fan of who I listed as 12-9… I really think Asia’h
and Danny would have made this top 12 way more enjoyable and or fun : (

12. Chikezie
11. Kristy Lee Cook

10. Syesha Mercado
9. Michael Johns
8. Carly Smithson
7. David Hernandez
6. Amanda Overmyer
5. Brooke White
4. David Cook
3. Ramiele Malubay
2. Jason Castro
1. David Archuleta

Amer.Idol voting off 4 2night!!!

So who I am bored of on Amer.Idol and would not mind seeing leave tonight would be

Girls:

I actually like them all for the most part but if I had to choose some they would be:

Kady Malloy

Kristie Lee Cook

Alexandrea' Lushington

[Sadly I think Amanda O. might be leaving since the judges were so mean to her, and probably Kady M.

Boys:

Chikezie

Luke Menard

Robbie Carrico

or

Jason Yeager

[ really want Robbie to leave, especially if he's wearing a wig on the show, and any of the other 3.]

I voted for...

Ha ha these two cartoon pictures are funny! But I actually did vote for Amanda Overmyer, because I thought the judges were completely mean and overly harsh to her, she was just trying to have fun out there and try to perform her best, but then you hear Simon criticizing her outfit, hair style, etc. Paula just restating what Randy said, which has continuously been, something like, "Dawg, check it check it...it was not to good at the beginning...kinda pitchy...but didn't think it was the right song...it was just OK for me..." blah blah blah Randy, your judging this season now that I've noticed SUCKS! All you do is restate the same thing to each contestant in different manners.

Lil' GrandMama !!!

Wow I feel bad for Lil' Mama loosing her own mother. But that does not mean she has to turn her supposed to be 18 year old self into a dressing and looking-like-a-mama, mama! This is scary, and I think if she wants people to believe she is the "Voice Of The Young People," she needs to get better stylist or admit her real age, cuz from the likes of that picture she isn't 18!

She kinda looks like Lisa Raye in this picture too! Ha ha to them both!

Thanks to MediaTakeOut.com where the picture came from.

The NEXT big surprise, or NOT!

WATCH:

Usher's "Love In This Club," [featuring Yung Jeezy]
&
Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body,"

...will ironically become the next biggest male and female R&B hits. Both songs have done extremely well on charts, both on the R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart, "TMB," on the Hot 100, and "LITC," on iTunes charts. Big surprise, huh?

Embarrassing Black People AGAIN!!

So rapper, Plies is supposedly doing a reality series similar to the Flavor Of Love! Are you seriously kidding me? 1st off you are way to new to be getting a reality series, 2nd why would you want to have a show taking after a now established reality star (no longer musician-may I add) Flavor Flav? That's extremely said, and lame to me. I believe it's supposed to be called 'Bust It Baby." Wow here comes more black women humiliating black people and their selves, and doing one thing we black people seem to do best, argue, and get into fights, I can see it already!

Get ready for the next most played out song, video, etc. | "Touch My Body"

So Mariah's new video for her new single, "Touch My Body," is getting over-exposure on BET already as they are playing it at the top of every hour today... Which makes me mad because we all already knew even if they didn't play the video at all today, we'd be seeing it all over the place. Just wait I give the video 2 weeks before it becomes old! But I did think the whole concept of the video was unique and creative. But the whole little school girl thing, I don't think so! Britney Spears is the only one who can do that, Mariah you don't look like a school girl with implants, lipo-suction, must I go on? No, just work the barbie body and sing you but off, that's what you do best!

Side note, the video did make me like the song more then I previously did as well. The mock off of Geek Squad was funny too!

Rounding out the Top 20 | Bye Bye Garrett, Amy, Joanne, & Colton!

So, the four to leave Amer.Idol today included Garrett Haley, Amy Davis, Joanne Borgella, and Colton Berry. I didn't really see Colton leaving but, and I am surprised that Luke Menard is still there. Also didn't really see Joanne leaving either, even though her performance wasn't the best, I figured her previous ones would have got the best of her, guess not. Also what a cheap publicity stunt to world premier Paula's video, for "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow," on Amer.Idol? I mean she should have went on TRL for that, but hey it was smart in the end because way more people watch Amer.Idol than TRL now-a-days, right!

The performance they did as the Top 24 was really nice, and also the commercial was a nice touch to the show! Sad tho for the 4 who left, cuz that's were the extra fun ends for them : (

Also after Colton stated he looked like Ellen DeGenres, I started to think... And judging from the likes of Danny N. being sad/pouting/crying I'm pretty sure he was... as well.

In The Top 10!

So one person who I didn't list to be in the top 10, who I think is good enough would be Jason Castro. Judging from his performance last night, I think he did have one of the performances that sounded most current, as Simon Cowell said. Plus he was the only one who was willing to take a chance and play an instrument, that was extremely daring, if you ask me. I think it's random that he was featured on the MTV show, Cheyenne,(supposedly dated her) or at least in her music video, for "Hanging On," but I don't think that in any way should affect his standing in Amer.Idol. I'm still trying to debate what his race is, is he mixed with Hispanic or African heritage?
Dreads are pretty nasty as well, but it does help make him more unique.

First two women to be voted off!

Also as for the women to vote off tonight, I'm pretty sure Amy Davis will be given the boot, her performance lacked, and was very boring to me. For the 2nd person to vote off, I think it may be Kristy Lee Cook. If not her maybe Kady Malloy, but I liked Kady's voice, her song didn't allow her performance to shine though. I guess Kristy being first and sick didn't help her situation. But I didn't think her voice was as well as others through the night.

Amy Davis...

Kristy Lee Cook...

Although I will feel sad for Kristy if she gets voted off and won't have money to buy back her horse! Awww : (

First two guys to be voted off!

So tonight for Amer.Idol I think the two guys to be voted off should be Luke Menard & Jason Yeager. But I think it may end up being Luke Menard & Garrett Haley. But I'd rather see Garrett stay than Jason. Luke's performance was extremly boring while I also didn't like the style of music he or Jason performed. Neither of Jason nor Luke seem to be the type of performers that seem exciting. That is why I think they should be eliminated.

Luke's Performance...

The Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs 2.23.08 | 'I Remember' when she earned the top spot...

The Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs 2.23.08

1) Keyshia Cole "I Remember"
2) Alicia Keys "Like You'll Never See Me Again"
3) J. Holiday "Suffocate"
4) Mary J. Blige "Just Fine"
5) Snoop Dogg "Sensual Seduction"
6) Mario "Crying Out For Me"
7) Webbie, Lil' Phat, & Lil' Boosie "Independent"
8) Chris Brown "With You"
9) Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain] "Low"
10) The-Dream "Falsetto"

Keyshia Cole finally knocks A.Keys outta the number 1 position, as The-Dream earns the number 10 spot this week. J. Holiday edges up on MJB, taking the number 3 position, as "With You" reaches number 8 this week.

The Billboard Pop 100 2.23.08 | Do Stop Low Rihanna or Chris Brown

The Billboard Pop 100 2.23.08

1) Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain] "Low"
2) Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music"
3) Chris Brown "With You"
4) Timbaland [featuring OneRepublic] "Apologize"
5) Alicia Keys "No One"
6) Fergie "Clumsy"
7) Sara Bareilles "Love Song"
8) Sean Kingston "Take You There"
9) Miley Cyrus "See You Again"
10) Yael Naim "New Soul"

Miley Cyrus edges in at the number 9 spot this week with, "See You Again." Yael Naim moves from 15 to number 10. This week was all about switching spots as "No One" & "Clumsy," "Love Song" & "Take You There," and "With You" & "Apologize," did so.

The Billboard Hot 100 week of 2.23.08 | Sorry at 10, and Apologizing at 5

The Billboard Hot 100 2.23.08

1) Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain] "Low"
2) Chris Brown "With You"
3) Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music"
4) Alicia Keys "No One"
5) Timbaland [featuring OneRepublic] "Apologize"
6) Sara Bareilles "Love Song"
7) Yael Naim "New Soul"
8) Snoop Dogg "Sensual Seduction"
9) Sean Kingston "Take You There"
10) Buckcherry "Sorry"

Again the chart is still pretty much the same. Buckcherry's "Sorry," takes over the 10th position, and all other songs on the chart. "Clumsy," is the only song to exit the top 10, this week (7-11) as Flo Rida is definitely setting the bar for most weeks at number 1 in high for 2008 (so far with 8 weeks, to it's name).

BLENDER follows...

So BLENDER which I must say is one of the best music magazines out now days, has finally had their say on the whole Britney Spears situation. She cover's the March 2008 issue, but a side not on the front cover lets readers know it isn't Britney's body, it's a composite photo. Which features probably the worse picture they could have picked. Inside the magazine there is a 8 page spread/article dedicated to the life and times of Britney. Way to follow the crowd BLENDER.

The LONGESTTT week ever!

THANK GOODNESS that Lupe Fiasco's Artist Of The Week on MTV is over, those stupid commercials were getting on my nerves seriously! Finally, YES!

Is it official or is it not?

So the supposed not official video Ashanti's new official single, "The Way That I Love You," leaked around February 13th/14th. It's said that the real official video will debut on TRL and 106 & Park on February 27th, and Yahoo! Music on the following day. Any who the video seriously reminded me of Britney Spears' "Everytime" video, just a bit more dramatic. And if you've seen it you'll know what I mean. Well see the reviews and how the single does, which is currently at number number 115 on the Billboard's Hip Hop/R&B Songs chart (equivalent to 15 on the 'Bubbling Under...' version of the chart). [VIEW VIDEO BELOW via YouTube]

Tour hopes!!

So I don't really think that this would work out judging from the likes of Nelly Furtado and Fergie's supposed beef, since N. Furtado and Justin Timberlake are good friends, but I think if Fergie and J. Timberlake went on a tour together, as co-headliners it would be a smash. I'm sure it would sell out, and it'd be perfect since the both of them are doing the Pop R&B music route. And I'm sure they share a lot of similar fans. Both CDs came out in within a week from each other and still are coming with singles, it just would be a perfect 2008 spring-summer tour, if you ask me. Not saying it has to be something long, just some shows around the US at least.

What about my shine?

So I don't know if it's me or not but Why is Donnie J being left out of the Making The Band 4 season 2 shows. He's barely been making songs, the only one I can recall is the "I Don't Care" track. And even besides the music aspect of the show, I hardly see him during the drama of the show. On top of that his debut single hasn't been publicly announced and even if it has, it hasn't been released to iTunes, as "Damaged [Danity Kane] & "Got Me Going" [DAY26] were. Then his album hasn't received a release date but guess what the others have. To me it's bad promotion on Diddy's part on Donnie's behalf. He's going to be the hardest artist of the 3 to sell if you ask me, since it's just him, and since no one truly knows what sound he will be going for, I'm guessing a Pop R&B similar to Justin Timberlake; but truly who really knows. I suppose he will be featured on tonight's show showcasing the Donnie-Aubrey fight, so we'll see if he get's his show time finally.

Again... : (

College shootings are becoming way to common. I'm sure all college students hearing about these shootings feel the same as well. What's happening with our Universities, aren't schools places where people should be able to feel safe? That's always what I thought. R.I.P. to all those 5 who were shot by the shooter at NIU, I don't really have much to say for the killer who even took his own life. Sorry.

Rolling in Wal-Mart...WHAT?

So, I've been at public places many times and I have little kids running around with their little skate shoes. And Oh my god it is one of the most annoying things ever. I mean parents don't even make their children stop doing it in Wal-Mart. And it always gets me how I've never seen a kid trip on them or fall yet. Because those things are so annoying and I'm sure somehow they are dangerous. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose almost been ran over by some little kid rolling around in Wal-Mart during it's busiest part of the day.
