Amer.Idol voting off 4 2night!!!

So who I am bored of on Amer.Idol and would not mind seeing leave tonight would be

Girls:

I actually like them all for the most part but if I had to choose some they would be:

Kady Malloy

Kristie Lee Cook

Alexandrea' Lushington

[Sadly I think Amanda O. might be leaving since the judges were so mean to her, and probably Kady M.

Boys:

Chikezie

Luke Menard

Robbie Carrico

or

Jason Yeager

[ really want Robbie to leave, especially if he's wearing a wig on the show, and any of the other 3.]

I voted for...

Ha ha these two cartoon pictures are funny! But I actually did vote for Amanda Overmyer, because I thought the judges were completely mean and overly harsh to her, she was just trying to have fun out there and try to perform her best, but then you hear Simon criticizing her outfit, hair style, etc. Paula just restating what Randy said, which has continuously been, something like, "Dawg, check it check it...it was not to good at the beginning...kinda pitchy...but didn't think it was the right song...it was just OK for me..." blah blah blah Randy, your judging this season now that I've noticed SUCKS! All you do is restate the same thing to each contestant in different manners.

Lil' GrandMama !!!

Wow I feel bad for Lil' Mama loosing her own mother. But that does not mean she has to turn her supposed to be 18 year old self into a dressing and looking-like-a-mama, mama! This is scary, and I think if she wants people to believe she is the "Voice Of The Young People," she needs to get better stylist or admit her real age, cuz from the likes of that picture she isn't 18!

She kinda looks like Lisa Raye in this picture too! Ha ha to them both!

Thanks to MediaTakeOut.com where the picture came from.

The NEXT big surprise, or NOT!

WATCH:

Usher's "Love In This Club," [featuring Yung Jeezy]
&
Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body,"

...will ironically become the next biggest male and female R&B hits. Both songs have done extremely well on charts, both on the R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart, "TMB," on the Hot 100, and "LITC," on iTunes charts. Big surprise, huh?

Embarrassing Black People AGAIN!!

So rapper, Plies is supposedly doing a reality series similar to the Flavor Of Love! Are you seriously kidding me? 1st off you are way to new to be getting a reality series, 2nd why would you want to have a show taking after a now established reality star (no longer musician-may I add) Flavor Flav? That's extremely said, and lame to me. I believe it's supposed to be called 'Bust It Baby." Wow here comes more black women humiliating black people and their selves, and doing one thing we black people seem to do best, argue, and get into fights, I can see it already!

Get ready for the next most played out song, video, etc. | "Touch My Body"

So Mariah's new video for her new single, "Touch My Body," is getting over-exposure on BET already as they are playing it at the top of every hour today... Which makes me mad because we all already knew even if they didn't play the video at all today, we'd be seeing it all over the place. Just wait I give the video 2 weeks before it becomes old! But I did think the whole concept of the video was unique and creative. But the whole little school girl thing, I don't think so! Britney Spears is the only one who can do that, Mariah you don't look like a school girl with implants, lipo-suction, must I go on? No, just work the barbie body and sing you but off, that's what you do best!

Side note, the video did make me like the song more then I previously did as well. The mock off of Geek Squad was funny too!

Rounding out the Top 20 | Bye Bye Garrett, Amy, Joanne, & Colton!

So, the four to leave Amer.Idol today included Garrett Haley, Amy Davis, Joanne Borgella, and Colton Berry. I didn't really see Colton leaving but, and I am surprised that Luke Menard is still there. Also didn't really see Joanne leaving either, even though her performance wasn't the best, I figured her previous ones would have got the best of her, guess not. Also what a cheap publicity stunt to world premier Paula's video, for "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow," on Amer.Idol? I mean she should have went on TRL for that, but hey it was smart in the end because way more people watch Amer.Idol than TRL now-a-days, right!

The performance they did as the Top 24 was really nice, and also the commercial was a nice touch to the show! Sad tho for the 4 who left, cuz that's were the extra fun ends for them : (

Also after Colton stated he looked like Ellen DeGenres, I started to think... And judging from the likes of Danny N. being sad/pouting/crying I'm pretty sure he was... as well.

In The Top 10!

So one person who I didn't list to be in the top 10, who I think is good enough would be Jason Castro. Judging from his performance last night, I think he did have one of the performances that sounded most current, as Simon Cowell said. Plus he was the only one who was willing to take a chance and play an instrument, that was extremely daring, if you ask me. I think it's random that he was featured on the MTV show, Cheyenne,(supposedly dated her) or at least in her music video, for "Hanging On," but I don't think that in any way should affect his standing in Amer.Idol. I'm still trying to debate what his race is, is he mixed with Hispanic or African heritage?
Dreads are pretty nasty as well, but it does help make him more unique.

First two women to be voted off!

Also as for the women to vote off tonight, I'm pretty sure Amy Davis will be given the boot, her performance lacked, and was very boring to me. For the 2nd person to vote off, I think it may be Kristy Lee Cook. If not her maybe Kady Malloy, but I liked Kady's voice, her song didn't allow her performance to shine though. I guess Kristy being first and sick didn't help her situation. But I didn't think her voice was as well as others through the night.

Amy Davis...

Kristy Lee Cook...

Although I will feel sad for Kristy if she gets voted off and won't have money to buy back her horse! Awww : (

First two guys to be voted off!

So tonight for Amer.Idol I think the two guys to be voted off should be Luke Menard & Jason Yeager. But I think it may end up being Luke Menard & Garrett Haley. But I'd rather see Garrett stay than Jason. Luke's performance was extremly boring while I also didn't like the style of music he or Jason performed. Neither of Jason nor Luke seem to be the type of performers that seem exciting. That is why I think they should be eliminated.

Luke's Performance...

The Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs 2.23.08 | 'I Remember' when she earned the top spot...

The Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs 2.23.08

1) Keyshia Cole "I Remember"
2) Alicia Keys "Like You'll Never See Me Again"
3) J. Holiday "Suffocate"
4) Mary J. Blige "Just Fine"
5) Snoop Dogg "Sensual Seduction"
6) Mario "Crying Out For Me"
7) Webbie, Lil' Phat, & Lil' Boosie "Independent"
8) Chris Brown "With You"
9) Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain] "Low"
10) The-Dream "Falsetto"

Keyshia Cole finally knocks A.Keys outta the number 1 position, as The-Dream earns the number 10 spot this week. J. Holiday edges up on MJB, taking the number 3 position, as "With You" reaches number 8 this week.

The Billboard Pop 100 2.23.08 | Do Stop Low Rihanna or Chris Brown

The Billboard Pop 100 2.23.08

1) Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain] "Low"
2) Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music"
3) Chris Brown "With You"
4) Timbaland [featuring OneRepublic] "Apologize"
5) Alicia Keys "No One"
6) Fergie "Clumsy"
7) Sara Bareilles "Love Song"
8) Sean Kingston "Take You There"
9) Miley Cyrus "See You Again"
10) Yael Naim "New Soul"

Miley Cyrus edges in at the number 9 spot this week with, "See You Again." Yael Naim moves from 15 to number 10. This week was all about switching spots as "No One" & "Clumsy," "Love Song" & "Take You There," and "With You" & "Apologize," did so.

The Billboard Hot 100 week of 2.23.08 | Sorry at 10, and Apologizing at 5

The Billboard Hot 100 2.23.08

1) Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain] "Low"
2) Chris Brown "With You"
3) Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music"
4) Alicia Keys "No One"
5) Timbaland [featuring OneRepublic] "Apologize"
6) Sara Bareilles "Love Song"
7) Yael Naim "New Soul"
8) Snoop Dogg "Sensual Seduction"
9) Sean Kingston "Take You There"
10) Buckcherry "Sorry"

Again the chart is still pretty much the same. Buckcherry's "Sorry," takes over the 10th position, and all other songs on the chart. "Clumsy," is the only song to exit the top 10, this week (7-11) as Flo Rida is definitely setting the bar for most weeks at number 1 in high for 2008 (so far with 8 weeks, to it's name).

BLENDER follows...

So BLENDER which I must say is one of the best music magazines out now days, has finally had their say on the whole Britney Spears situation. She cover's the March 2008 issue, but a side not on the front cover lets readers know it isn't Britney's body, it's a composite photo. Which features probably the worse picture they could have picked. Inside the magazine there is a 8 page spread/article dedicated to the life and times of Britney. Way to follow the crowd BLENDER.

The LONGESTTT week ever!

THANK GOODNESS that Lupe Fiasco's Artist Of The Week on MTV is over, those stupid commercials were getting on my nerves seriously! Finally, YES!

Is it official or is it not?

So the supposed not official video Ashanti's new official single, "The Way That I Love You," leaked around February 13th/14th. It's said that the real official video will debut on TRL and 106 & Park on February 27th, and Yahoo! Music on the following day. Any who the video seriously reminded me of Britney Spears' "Everytime" video, just a bit more dramatic. And if you've seen it you'll know what I mean. Well see the reviews and how the single does, which is currently at number number 115 on the Billboard's Hip Hop/R&B Songs chart (equivalent to 15 on the 'Bubbling Under...' version of the chart). [VIEW VIDEO BELOW via YouTube]

Tour hopes!!

So I don't really think that this would work out judging from the likes of Nelly Furtado and Fergie's supposed beef, since N. Furtado and Justin Timberlake are good friends, but I think if Fergie and J. Timberlake went on a tour together, as co-headliners it would be a smash. I'm sure it would sell out, and it'd be perfect since the both of them are doing the Pop R&B music route. And I'm sure they share a lot of similar fans. Both CDs came out in within a week from each other and still are coming with singles, it just would be a perfect 2008 spring-summer tour, if you ask me. Not saying it has to be something long, just some shows around the US at least.

What about my shine?

So I don't know if it's me or not but Why is Donnie J being left out of the Making The Band 4 season 2 shows. He's barely been making songs, the only one I can recall is the "I Don't Care" track. And even besides the music aspect of the show, I hardly see him during the drama of the show. On top of that his debut single hasn't been publicly announced and even if it has, it hasn't been released to iTunes, as "Damaged [Danity Kane] & "Got Me Going" [DAY26] were. Then his album hasn't received a release date but guess what the others have. To me it's bad promotion on Diddy's part on Donnie's behalf. He's going to be the hardest artist of the 3 to sell if you ask me, since it's just him, and since no one truly knows what sound he will be going for, I'm guessing a Pop R&B similar to Justin Timberlake; but truly who really knows. I suppose he will be featured on tonight's show showcasing the Donnie-Aubrey fight, so we'll see if he get's his show time finally.

Again... : (

College shootings are becoming way to common. I'm sure all college students hearing about these shootings feel the same as well. What's happening with our Universities, aren't schools places where people should be able to feel safe? That's always what I thought. R.I.P. to all those 5 who were shot by the shooter at NIU, I don't really have much to say for the killer who even took his own life. Sorry.

Rolling in Wal-Mart...WHAT?

So, I've been at public places many times and I have little kids running around with their little skate shoes. And Oh my god it is one of the most annoying things ever. I mean parents don't even make their children stop doing it in Wal-Mart. And it always gets me how I've never seen a kid trip on them or fall yet. Because those things are so annoying and I'm sure somehow they are dangerous. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose almost been ran over by some little kid rolling around in Wal-Mart during it's busiest part of the day.

American Idol Season 7 update 2.15.08 | Choice Winner!

I've said this even before American Idol began, I seriously think a guy will win this season's Amer.Idol. Reasons being there have only been two males winners, and it just seems time. Also since there has never been a Mexican-American winner, I think the winner will most likely be as well. The two I guess as of now that I expect to see in the top 10 / top 5 would include David Archuleta & David Hernandez. Also Danny Norriega has a good voice as well, but I'm sure I'm not the only one whose noticed...[enuff said]! Some of the girls who I can remember who have memorably voices include Amanda Overmyer, Carly Smithson, Ramiele Malubay, and Joanne Borgella. And for some reason I think that Brook White will be memorable. Not that her voice is all that great, but memorable and Asia'h Epperson-maybe cause of her story though. So yeah I suppose If I had to pick a girl and guy for the finals, it'd be David Archuleta & Ramiele Malubay.

Also the 2008 farewell song, "Hollywood's Not America," by Ferras was a great choice.

Welcome To The... Pout-y Faces : (

So I really thought DK would have worked with this CD cover better than they did. Who knows maybe the booklet will be more related to the title. Guess Diddy wanted them to attempt the sexy look for the cover-to sell. To bad personally I'm still NOT feeling "Damaged," luckily I will buy the CD because the 1st CD had a good amount of good music. So that's great for DK I guess! Back to the cover, why is Aundrea laying there, to me that looks so weird. Like if she was laying on the ground she should have did what Beyonce did for the Survivor album cover that would have looked better... That really doesn't look a thing like Aubrey in the middle, looks like they got a new member. Then she's all touching Dawn's thy. Then funny how \D. Wood's foot is all against the wall... Then people might saying Shannon shouldn't have been sitting that way, wearing what she is, but Diddy approved. Welcome To The Doll House drops on March 18th, 2008.

Pregnancy News ???

So I believe it was Access Hollywood, yesterday they said that Fergie, was at Clive Davis' Grammy party and that she was only drinking water... Speculating that she is pregnant with her fiance Josh Duhamel [I didn't know they were engaged, I guess been tg since 2004...] But I mean if this rumor is true, I guess it's a good time biologically for Fergie, since she is 32. But as for Black Eyed Pea's reunion, that doesn't sound to good! No wonder why she was wearing that hideous puffy dress during her Grammy performance! Wonder if tru how many months she is? Guesses any1?

The Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs 2.16.08

The Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs week of February 16th, 2008

1) "Like You'll Never See Me Again" by Alicia Keys
2) "I Remember" by Keyshia Cole
3) "Just Fine" by Mary J. Blige
4) "Suffocate" by J. Holiday
5) "Independent" by Webbie, Lil' Phat, & Lil' Bossie
6) "Sensual Seduction" by Snoop Dogg
7) "Can't Help But Wait" by Trey Songz
8) "Crying Out For Me" by Mario
9) "Low" by Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain]
10) "With You" by Chris Brown

So this week, the top 4 songs remain all in their same positions, but "Independent," jumps two spots to it's new peak at 5. Trading spots with "Can't Help But Wait." Mario and Snoop also hold their positions, as "Low" and "With You" trade spots, rounding out the top 10. This makes Alicia Keys' 17th week atop this chart: 10 weeks with "No One," and so far 7 with "LYNSMA," consecutively. C'mon this chart's top 10 needs some more action!

The Billboard Pop 100 2.16.08

The Billboard Pop 100 week of February 16th, 2008

1) "Low" by Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain]
2) "Don't Stop The Music" by Rihanna
3) "Apologize" by Timbaland [featuring OneRepublic]

"Clumsy," sadly drops from last weeks number two to this weeks number 5 position, while "Don't Stop The Music," edges up on "Low," this week at the number 2 position. Wyclef Jean makes an apperance at number 10, the highest position for "Sweetest Girl" yet. Thank goodness "No One," is finally falling off the Pop top 10, next is "Low."

Monday, February 11, 2008

The Billboard Hot 100 2.16.08

The Billboard Hot 100 week of February 16th, 2008

1) "Low" by Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain]
2) "With You" by Chris Brown
3) "Don't Stop The Music" by Rihanna
4) "Apologize" by Timbaland [featuring OneRepublic]
5) "No One" by Alicia Keys
6) "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles
7) "Clumsy" by Fergie"
8) "Sensual Seduction" by Snoop Dogg
9) "New Soul" by Yael Naim
10) "Take You There" by Sean Kingston

This week, thanks to being used in the Mac Book Air ad, and rising to number 2(which eventually reached number 1) allowed for Yael Naim's "New Soul," song to debut on the Hot 100 at number 9, which is very impressive. Although "No One," and "Low," are still in the top 5, a lot of new flavor is being added into the top 10 songs. Maybe next week, "With You" or "Don't Stop The Music," will be number 1, and finally knock "Low," from it's reign.

'Rehab' and visa issues couldn't stop Winehouse-5x

So at Sunday nights 50th Annual Grammy Awards, Amy Winehouse somehow proved to become the next big thing, even after her huge personal, 'Rehab' stint, and visa issues. She couldn't attend the show because her visa was accepted to late, but still performed anyway, live from London. And she did have a good performance, sporting her famous bee-hive hairstyle, even though jus recently she had a blonde, down-do. After winning an award on camera Amy appeared extremely happy and thankful for her win, as she wen back to hug her background singers, and then her Mom, before she even gave her speech.

Amy Winehouse becomes the 5th female artist, to receive 5 Grammy's at one nights ceremony. She won 3/4 of the general field awards, including Best New Artist, beating out the likes of Fiest and Taylor Swift.

Other artist who had notable nights included Kanye West who performed a tribute to his mother, and won 4 awards under the rap category, one with Common. Rihanna who received her 1st Grammy for her smash hit, "Umbrella," and Carrie Underwood who won twice for, country pop crossover hit "Before He Cheats."

R&B Field [My Votes for the] 50th Annual Grammy's

Who I want/think should win is in gray.

FEMALE R&B VOCAL PERFORMANCE
"Just Fine" - Mary J. Blige
"When I See U" - Fantasia *
"No One" - Alicia Keys
"If I Have My Way" - Chrisette Michele
"Hate On Me" - Jill Scott

* The Grammy’s was supposed to have celebrating music from October 1st, 2006 till September 30th, 2007… Being so I do not know how MJB’s “Just Fine,” got nominated since it was released on October 16th, 2007. That’s not fair to me, and I DON’T want her to win, I will be mad. And “No One,” was a good song, but I really want to see Fantasia become a Grammy award winning artist, and I liked, “When I See U” a lot.

MALE R&B VOCAL PERFORMANCE
"Woman" - Raheem DeVaughn
"B.U.D.D.Y." - Musiq Soulchild
"Because Of You" - Ne-Yo *
"Future Baby Mama" – Prince
"Please Don't Go" - Tank

* These artist really didn’t have that big of a year to me personally. I mean I’m only familiar with “Because Of You.”

R&B PERFORMANCE BY A DUO OR GROUP WITH VOCALS
"Same Girl" - R. Kelly Featuring Usher
"Disrespectful" - Chaka Khan Featuring Mary J. Blige
"Hate That I Love You" - Rihanna Featuring Ne-Yo *
"Baby" - Angie Stone Featuring Betty Wright
"Bartender" - T-Pain Featuring Akon *

* I really wouldn’t mind seeing “Bartender,” or “Hate That I Love You,” win, both were great songs during the year. Wonder why they weren’t up for best contemporary R&B album…hmmm?

R&B SONG
"Beautiful Flower" - India.Arie & Joyce Simpson, songwriters (India.Arie)
"Hate That I Love You" - M.S. Eriksen, T.E. Hermansen & Shaffer Smith, songwriters (Rihanna Featuring Ne-Yo) *
"No One" - Dirty Harry, Kerry Brothers & Alicia Keys, songwriters (Alicia Keys)
"Teachme" - Ivan Barias, Adam W. Blackstone, Randall C. Bowland, Carvin Haggins, Johnnie Smith II & Corey Latif Williams, songwriters (Musiq Soulchild)
"When I See U" - Louis Biancaniello, Waynne Nugent, Erika Nuri, Kevin Risto, Janet Sewel & Sam Watters, songwriters (Fantasia) *

* Again, I’d rather not see Alicia Key’s receive a ton of more Grammy’s especially since “No One,” didn’t blow up during the allotted Grammy period [October 2006-September 2007], I’d like to see this one go to “When I See U,” or “Hate That I Love You.” It’d be nice to see a new Grammy award winner.

CONTEMPORARY R&B ALBUM
"Konvicted" - Akon *
"Just Like You" - Keyshia Cole *
"Fantasia" - Fantasia *
"East Side Story" - Emily King
"Because Of You" - Ne-Yo

* It’d be nice to see Keyshia Cole earn her 1st Grammy award, but her album was barely released in the Grammy period[October 2006-September 2007], and hasn’t been overly huge, single wise yet-not that it could, it’s only been out for about 4 months. Ne-Yo and Fantasia to me didn’t have many singles that were popular to make their album a winner and that why my vote/choice would have to go to Akon for his sophomore effort.

Rap Field [My Votes for the] 50th Annual Grammy's

Who I want/think should win is in brown.

RAP SOLO PERFORMANCE
"The People" - Common
"I Get Money" - 50 Cent

"Kiss, Kiss" - Chris Brown & T-Pain
"Let It Go" - Keyshia Cole Featuring Missy Elliott & Lil' Kim
"Umbrella" - Rihanna Featuring Jay-Z
"Good Life" - Kanye West Featuring T-Pain

* This category to me is made up of really great songs and artists and I really do believe that whoever wins will truly deserve the win. And as a side night, does anybody find it weird how 4/5 of the nominee's are R&B artists featuring rap artists. Rather than a rap artist featuring a R&B singer...

RAP SONG
"Ayo Technology" - Nate (Danja) Hills, Curtis Jackson, Timothy Mosley & Justin Timberlake, songwriters (50 Cent Featuring Justin Timberlake & Timbaland)
"Big Things Poppin' (Do It)" - Clifford Harris & Byron Thomas, songwriters (T.I.)

RAP ALBUM
"Finding Forever" - Common
"Kingdom Come" - Jay-Z
"Hip Hop Is Dead" - Nas
"T.I. vs T.I.P." - T.I. *
"Graduation" - Kanye West

* T.I.'s album really suffered from the follow up single choices, and the result of him being put on house arest, low promotion.

"1234" - Feist
"Big Girls Don't Cry" - Fergie *
"Say It Right" - Nelly Furtado
"Rehab" - Amy Winehouse

*If Nelly Furtado wins this category I will be SO mad, Her year wasn't as big as Fergie's. And also Amy Winehouse, "Rehab" was not that hot of a song, yet she gets SO much credit for it, I just don't know.

A great ending 17-14!

So, Super Bowl XLII, aired tonight. And I must say the ending/4th quarter was pretty interesting. The NY Giants were behind, near the last two minutes, and this is when it got intense. The NY Giant's who were trailing the NE Patriots by 4(14-10). Soon after Eli Manning passed the ball to Plaxico Burress who scored the last touchdown, making the score 16-14. Then a final kick from Lawrence Tynes made the final score, 17-14. Ending the NE patriots 18-0 streak, making them have a final season of 18-1[Which isn't bad, but a horrible way to lose]. Great job to the NY Giants for making a strong comeback, that most probably didn't see coming; winning by 3 points!

Best Male Pop Artist 2007

Best Male Pop Artist 2007:
Winner
--
Justin Timberlake [“What Goes Around.../...Comes Around”]

Nominee's
--
Elliott Yamin [“Wait For You”]
Robin Thicke [“Lost Without U”]

Justin Timberlake knows how to utilize what works for him, and that's exactly what he did on his latest album. Timbaland, produced the majority of the album and all of the singles to date from it. In 2007 the album had four two top 20 Hot 100 songs, while “What Goes Around.../...Comes Around” actually made number one. Justin also was on another Hot 100 number one alongside Timbaland and Nelly Furtado with, "Give It To Me." With his sophomore album, Future Sex/Love Sounds Justin was able to cross over into the R&B genre with help from Timbalnd, T.I. and Beyonce' giving him credit as being a versatile artist, who could top the Hot 100, Pop 100, and reach the top of the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart(s).

Best Female Pop Artist 2007

Best Female Pop Artist 2007:
Winner
--
Fergie ["Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal)"]

Nominee's
--
Britney Spears ["Gimme More"]
Nelly Furtado ["Say It Right"]
Hilary Duff ["With Love"]
Colbie Caillat ["Bubbly"]
Jordin Sparks ["Tattoo"]
Paula DeAnda ["Easy"]
Nicole Scherzinger ["Baby Love"]

Since Fergie was from the popular, hip pop group, The Black Eyed Peas, there was a lot of pressure riding on her to create a big debut solo album. But Fergie proved her own as she delivered hit after hit on the charts from 2006 throughout 2008. During 2007, she managed to have 2 Hot 100 singles, and a total of four top 5 Hot 100 & Pop 100 singles. With songs like "Clumsy," & "Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal)" she showed critics she didn't need any help allowing her to reach the top.

Best Female R&B Artist 2007

Best Female R&B Artist 2007:
Winner
--
Rihanna ["Umbrella]

Nominee's
--
Beyonce' ["Irreplaceable"]
Fantasia ["When I See You"]
Ciara ["Like A Boy"]
Kelly Rowland ["Like This"]
Alicia Keys ["No One"]
Keyshia Cole ["Let It Go"]

When you think of one of the biggest songs that people heard in 2007, there's no doubt that, "Umbrella," comes to mind. Rihanna topped over 15 charts with the song, with help from Jay-Z and The-Dream. Not to mention she became a breakthrough artist with the release of her 3rd album. Being able to mix pop rock, techno, hip hop and R&B all on one album. Not to mention making the bob, hair style extremely popular as well. Good Girl Gone Bad, will be a hard album and year for Rihanna to top.

Best Male R&B Artist 2007

Best Male R&B Artist 2007:
Winner
--
T-Pain ["Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')"]

Nominee's
--
Chris Brown [ "Kiss Kiss"]
Sean Kingston ["Beautiful Girls"]
J. Holiday ["Bed"]
Ne-Yo [ "Because Of You"]
R. Kelly ["Same Girl"]
Akon ["Don't Matter"]
Lloyd ["You"]

While T-Pain only had one number 1 one single with "Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin')," he was the artist to work with this year. He started producing songs for other artists, and still managed to be a popular featured artist on multiple tracks throughout the year. He helped Plies, Flo Rida, Kanye West, Chris Brown, and many other reach the top of charts during the 2007 year.

Cold as Fire, Hot as Ice!

So, Britney Spears supposedly released the song, "Break The Ice," from Blackout as a promotional single. But she was supposed to have told someone she had started working on a video for the next single, "Hot As Ice." I mean I would have rather "Hot As Ice," to be the 4th single, after "Radar," but I still liked this song as well. So If this does become the 3rd official single, I hope Britney does a remix with Lil' Kim. I think that could make the song even, 'hotter.' Not to mention during the chorus the background vocalist sounds a bit like Lil' Kim. Then "Radar," should be released as the 4th single. Then for a 5th single I think "Break The Ice," would be a good release. But who knows since "BTI" was released as a promo single it may even chart on the Hot Dance Club Play.

The Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs week of February 9th, 2008

The Billboard Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs

1. Alicia Keys "Like You'll Never See Me Again"
2. Keyshia Cole "I Remember"
3. Mary J. Blige "Just Fine"
4. J. Holiday "Suffocate"
5. Trey Songz "Can't Help But Wait"
6. Snoop Dogg "Sensual Seduction"
7. Webbie, Lil' Phat & Lil' Boosie "Independent"
8. Mario "Crying Out For Me"
9. Chris Brown "With You"
10. Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain] "Low"

Alicia Keys toping the Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart this week makes her the only artist to be in the top 3 of three charts(Hot 100,Pop 100 included) this week. Although "No One," is working batter in the popular formats, "Like You'll Never See Me Again," is more popular among R&B audiences. While she is followed by 3 other artists eager to top the chart as well, as they have before. While 7 of the songs come from male artists, the females are definitely at top this week. "Sensual Seduction," comes in at number 6 this week. While Chris Brown also is an artist who has 5 songs in the top 10 on 3 different charts(Hot 100,Pop 100 included) charting this week.

The Billboard Pop 100 week of February 9th, 2008

The Billboard Pop 100

1. Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain] "Low"
2. Fergie "Clumsy"
3. Alicia Keys "No One"
4. Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music"
5. Timbaland [featuring OneRepublic] "Apoligize"
6. Chris Brown "With You"
7. Jordin Sparks "Tattoo"
8. Sean Kingston "Take You There"
9. Chris Brown [featuring T-Pain] "Kiss Kiss"
10. Natasha Bedingfield [Sean Kingston] "Love Like This"

Again, "Low," tops two charts again. While this week Fergie gains a 1-spot lead ending at the number 2 position. This means all of her 5 singles released from 'The Dutchess' have made the Top 2 of the Pop 100, "Clumsy," being the only one who hasn't reached number 1 yet, but the single still has time. The Pop 100 is another chart, not only featuring Chris Brown and T-Pain twice, but Sean Kingston as well. Jordin Sparks has kept steady on the chart and comes in this week at number 7 this week. While Natasha Bedingfield surprisingly rounds out with her Sean Kingston duet.

The Billboard Hott 100 week of February 9th, 2008

The Billboard Hot 100

1. Flo Rida [featuring T-Pain] "Low"
2. Alicia Keys "No One"
3. Chris Brown "With You"
4. Timbaland [featuring OneRepublic] "Apologize"
5. Rihanna "Don't Stop The Music"
6. Fergie "Clumsy"
7. Sean Kingston "Take You There"
8. Snoop Dogg "Sensual Seduction"
9. Sara Bareilles "Love Song"
10. Chris Brown [featuring T-Pain] "Kiss Kiss"

So once again Flo Rida is on top of The Hot 100 again. But it seems as if the newer music entering the top 10 might actually knock out some of the older top hits, like "No One," & "Apologize." With help from "Don't Stop The Music," "Take You There" & "With You." Although I really don't think "Don't Stop The Music," is top chart materiel, Rihanna might finally be able to earn two top Hot 100 singles from the same album. Snoop Dogg's current single also is coming up the charts as well. Chris Brown has two songs of his own in the top 10 while T-Pain has two featured songs in the top 10.
